Who We Are

Once famously described as "Two idiots from the south!" Brent Ellis and Mark Baggett co-own and fully manage The Navigation Inn.
 
We bought the business in June 2004 having given up careers in marketing and the media to pursue a long held ambition to run a country pub.  Although complete novices in the hospitality industry we have learned much in our tenure and are still learning!  Our ambition 'to create the kind of place we would want to eat and drink in' remains the same.

We are ably assisted by the kitchen team of highly respected chefs, plus waiters, bar staff and cleaners without whom none of this would be possible. Last but certainly not least is Sebastienne, the Navvy's three and a half year old German Shepherd who normally makes her prescence known late nights in the bar - Sebby (job title - Head of Security!) really is part of the Navvy family.
